Second Conference of the European Moral Responsibility Consortium (EMRC)

The EMRC (European Moral Responsibility Consortium) is a platform devoted to facilitating coordination and cooperation among philosophers based in Europe who are working in the area of moral responsibility and on related topics (free will, blame, collective responsibility, punishment, moral responsibility and AI, etc.). The first conference of the EMRC took place in 2025 in Leuven, Belgium. From September 28-30, 2026, the second conference of the EMRC will be held in Salzburg, Austria.

Practical Information
Meals
All speakers are invited to dinner on Wednesday, September 30. The other meals are at their own expense. For participants without presentation, all meals are at their own expense.
Accommodation
Here is a list of accommodations in Salzburg. We are not affiliated with any of them.
- Haus St. Benedikt — They offer a 10€ discount to participants of the conference. Please indicate that you are here for the conference when booking.
- Hotel Hölle — They have reserved some rooms for participants of the conference until May 15. Please indicate that you are here for the conference when booking. Note that the hotel is a 35-minutes walk/18-minutes bus ride away from the venue.
- Gästehaus im Priesterseminar — They were already fully booked at the beginning of the year, but it might be worth a try in case they had any cancellations.
